All living things deserve love

All living things deserve love. All around me are people and animals that deserve love. Their mere existence is a call to humankind to be open to giving from the heart. In the eyes of another human is a clear reflection of me. I see myself in their reality, so it reminds me to treat them with kindness. Seeing what life throws out to us teaches me to be empathetic to someone who suffers. Although I sometimes have disagreements with my loved ones, I refrain from being unloving. I treat them how I know I wish to be treated. Sometimes my impatience and anger cause me to respond impulsively. In those cases, I apologize immediately. Differences in opinion are a part of life. I teach myself to handle them respectfully and lovingly. My favorite pets are dogs, but I am kind to all animals that I come across. They all understand emotions and relish in kind treatment. I make conscious choices about how I spend my time online. I use social media to strengthen my relationships and stay connected. I think positive and aim to be constructive. Before I post something, I ask myself whether it adds value and if I would be comfortable saying the same thing offline. I treat others with respect and kindness. I take a genuine interest in each of my contacts and listen to what they say. I remain authentic. I avoid comparing myself with others. I measure myself by my own standards and tell my own story. I stay in touch with friends and family. I plan dinner dates and outings. I share funny photos and breaking news. I talk with my children while I am on business trips and reach out to old college friends. I advance my career. I learn from experts in my field and participate in professional discussions. Being conscious of others around me helps to keep me connected. When I consciously nourish a loving soul, it is easy to feel the plight of others. Healing their hardships becomes part of my mission in this world. I develop a loving soul by being present in each moment. I carefully choose my response to situations, and I always choose to respond with love. I keep my heart and soul open to others and prepare myself to assist when the opportunity arises. I equip myself with the tools to respond helpfully. The challenges faced by others feel personal to me because I connect with their feelings. Putting myself on their level brings understanding. I love how walking helps my body and mind. I grow fitter with each step I take. Walking helps me lose weight and shape up. I burn calories and trim my waist. I condition my heart and strengthen my bones. I reduce my risk for diabetes and other serious conditions. Walking boosts my mood. I connect with nature and meet my neighbors. I dissolve stress and think through conflicts. I feel energized and alert. Walking sharpens my thinking. I discover answers to questions that have been on my mind. I dream up projects that I want to tackle. I examine my values and explore my options, so I can make sounder decisions. I suddenly see solutions to issues that have been weighing me down. I find many opportunities to fit more steps into my day. I wake up early and squeeze in a stroll around the block before I leave for the office. I work out consistently to remain healthy

Exercise is a part of my daily life. I give it the same priority as my other daily responsibilities. Working out is just as necessary as food and rest. I feel better and my body functions more effectively when I stay in shape. When I go for checkups at the doctor, I am confident about the test results and I end up passing with flying colors. I know that I am making positive choices about my physical well-being. When I am in shape, I am happier. I sense my energy elevate immediately after an exercise routine. I feel like I can take on the world and accomplish anything I desire. I am more pleasant to be around when I exercise. My friends and family love the person I am when I stay in shape. Determination is important to me

One quality I am glad I possess is determination. Determination, to me, is the ability to go forward with a fixed idea of what I can accomplish. My determination pushes me to get things done, plow through unsavory situations, and eventually achieve my goals. When I am confronted with a challenge, I tell myself, "I know I can do this" and then I do. Determination carries me through trials and tribulations. When I begin to struggle, I feel something inside of me "shift gears." Then, I am in determination mode. I put my emotional strength and brain power into the situation and push forward to reach the finish line for the goal at hand. Each time I achieve a goal, no matter how small, my capacity for determination increases. If it were not for determination, I am not sure where I would be now.
